We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Legal Counsel to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge and experience in the field of gambling law to ensure that our gaming products comply with all legal standards and avoid the pitfalls of gambling regulations. This role will involve proactive legal guidance on the design and implementation of games to ensure they are enjoyable, fair, and legally compliant.
- Provide expert legal advice and support on issues related to gambling laws and regulations applicable to the gaming industry.
- Review and advise on game design and features to ensure compliance with all local, state, and international gambling regulations.
- Draft, review, and negotiate a wide variety of contracts, including development agreements, licensing agreements, and vendor contracts.
- Stay abreast of legislative changes that may affect the company’s gaming products and advise on adaptation strategies.
- Collaborate with the compliance and development teams to implement best practices for game design and monetization strategies that respect legal boundaries.
- Manage litigation risks and oversee the resolution of legal disputes related to gambling accusations or compliance issues.
- Conduct training sessions for the development teams on the implications of gambling laws as they relate to game design and functionality.
Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- License to practice law in EU, US, Asia.
- Minimum of 5 years of legal experience, with a strong preference for candidates who have worked directly with gambling law in the entertainment or gaming industry.
- In-depth understanding of gambling regulations and issues surrounding the classification of games as gambling.
- Proven track record of navigating complex legal and regulatory environments.
- Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
