Strikerz Inc. is a videogame-creating collective and an international gaming brand launched in 2016 by a handful of people involved with online football. Currently, there are 280+ of us spread over 5 regional offices in various locations across Europe or working from home (yes, we love it too). Strikerz Inc. is the force behind the UFL, the ongoing online football videogame revolution. Being fans, we aim at offering our players an unprecedented gaming experience available on all major platforms.
You will be part of a compact, agile, and high-performing business development team with a wide range of responsibilities in a rather rare cross-section of video games and sports. We identify opportunities, strategize, sign deals, and support partner relations from football club collaborations to brand partnerships, ambassadors, and tech partners to distribution platforms and investor relations.
Role's main objective is to support and elevate long-term business relations and act as every platform partner’s primary day-to-day point of contact.
What you’ll do:
Working closely with the Business Development, Publishing, and Marketing teams, the Platform Relations Manager will be responsible for building solid relationships with publishing platforms and overseeing platform-related projects. You will also align internal planning and on-platform execution, mediate related intercompany communications, and advocate for UFL business interests.
This role requires a deep understanding of video game production cycles and digital distribution platforms' workflows and processes.
The successful candidate is expected to have experience navigating complex organizational and development problems, especially relationships between development studios and digital distribution platforms.
Responsibilities:
Manage established partnerships with video game publishing platforms
Provide product pitches and regular updates to the platforms
Be responsible for securing the best possible promotion support from platforms
Ensure UFL updates, add-ons, and in-game activations delivery are in sync on all the platforms
Synchronize internal and platform sales calendar
Initiate, plan, and implement additional activations with platforms
Oversee the alignment of UFL features and content with platforms’ policies
Take on the role of the internal evangelist of platforms’ tools and features
Provide internal cross-functional consulting and platform communication support
Identify issues/risks/blockers before they occur and escalate issues
Prepare regular internal reports and presentations covering platform relations
Proactively research new partners, platforms, markets, etc.
Create and maintain an internal knowledge base and be a go-to person for the publishing and marketing teams regarding platforms
Maintain overall company awareness about the market trends and practices
Represent Strikerz Inc. at industry conferences, events, and meetings
Skills and Requirements:
Strong understanding of the video game publishing business frameworks and digital distribution practices (focus on console and PC segments)
Experience working in the video game industry, particularly in Publishing/Platform Management
Well-developed presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills
Ability to drive multiple projects simultaneously
Strategical thinking about issues, leading to recommendations and action plans
Pro-active team player attitude
English proficiency level B2 and higher
Would be a plus:
Established personal relations with representatives of major video game storefronts
Any publishing partner web-portal operation experience
An avid gamer actively spending on games on PC and Consoles
General experience in analytics
Experience managing cross-functional teams
Passion for football
