2D Spine Animator Full-time

Whimsy Games is an outsourcing game development company known for creating innovative and entertaining games for various platforms. With a focus on creativity, Whimsy Games constantly explores new ideas and pushes game development’s boundaries. In the next few years, we are aiming to create bestsellers and become a respectable partner for global GameDev companies.

Now we are seeking an experienced Spine Animator for a project part-time cooperation (for 1-2 months).

For which tasks (responsibilities)?
  • Create Spine Animations (environment objects, characters, VFX and UI Items)

  • Work with documentation, compliance with technical requirements

  • Work with feedback and with the lead artist

  • Create mood boards and collect animation reference

  • Task Estimations and time trekking 

  • Follow established workflow requirements, pipelines, and best practices to maintain efficient art production processes

  • Communication with the technical department and PM 

  • Preparation and export of animation to the project

What kind of professional are we looking for?
  • 2+ years of experience as a Animator in the gamedev industry

  • Knowledge of English

  • Must have knowledge of 2D and 2.5D animations in the spine.

  • Knowledge and work with SPINE, version 3.7.9.1.

  • Good understanding of the game development process ( Technical processes/Basic Pipelines )

  • Base Knowledge of Photoshop,

  • Ability to be proactive, and highly organized, with good teamwork skills

  • Experience working with different animation styles (Realism/Casual/Stylization) 

  • Experience in creating character animation, UI items, VFX and backgrounds

  • Basic animation knowledge: animation principles, anatomy, body mechanics, weight, dynamics, acceleration, etc.

  • Experience in analyzing gambling markets.

  • Independence and good communication skills. We are expecting a proactive participant in the project.
