In the Farcana project we are looking for a specialist to take care of balancing all project systems (abilities, weapons, gamemodes, etc). We need someone with an excellent maths background and a deep understanding of PvP shooters, so that the numbers create a designed experience for the player.
Immersion in all gameplay aspects of the game
Maintaining the entire gameplay part of the project balance (balance of abilities, weapons, gamemodes, character stats)
Drawing up balance documentation in a neat, systematic, easy to understand form
Working closely with game designers, analysts and level designers
Deconstruction of similar projects
3 years of experience working as a balance designer on large projects with many dependent systems (or a year on a relevant project - PvP shooter)
Experience in balancing a project from scratch, independently building hypotheses and balance systems based on game designers' requirements
Maths education (or related technical education with excellent knowledge of maths)
Ability to work with analytical data from playtests
Mastery of balance tools
Accurate work with documentation, ability to keep all calculations up to date
High proficiency in PvP shooters (priority is given to abilty shooters)
Willingness to iterate and refine systems based on new features (the project is at a stage where significant changes are still possible)
High soft-skills, tight teamwork, self-organisation
Would be a plus:
Conversational English
Knowledge of UE blueprints
High rank in PvP shooter
