What are you working on?

• The name of the project(s): The game is the next-generation ship simulator. Set sail with friends in the untamed Norwegian Sea and interact with players worldwide, building your career in service, cargo transportation, and commercial fishing. Additionally, the game takes a significant step forward by allowing you to step into authentically reproduced harbors of Lofoten, Norway. Visit the store to purchase tools and equipment, upgrade ships, stock up on supplies for you and your crew, or head to the hangar to repair and service your vessel.

For which tasks (responsibilities)?

• Identify and mitigate technical risks during development;

• Collaborate with design and art teams for innovative game features;

• Lead prototyping efforts, iterating based on feedback and feasibility;

• Develop complex gameplay and animation mechanics using C++ and advanced Blueprinting;

• Drive the development of multiplayer features, starting with a simple version for up to 4 players via the Steam client;

• Expand multiplayer capabilities, such as collaborative gameplay, scaling from 4 to 8 players, and exploring dedicated server options.

What kind of professional are we looking for?

• 5+ years of experience in Game Development, Unreal Development, or similar roles;

• Proven experience in multiplayer gameplay systems;

• Strong problem-solving skills and proficiency in advanced Blueprinting;

• Prior experience with double-A or possibly triple-A games;

• Gameplay Ability System; Familiarity with performance analysis and code optimization;

• Ability to break down tasks and provide accurate time estimates;

• In-depth understanding of the challenges and opportunities in developing multiplayer games.
