For which tasks (responsibilities)?

A game development company in the heart of Europe is looking for a talented and versatile CG Artist proficient in both 3D and 2D artistry to join our dynamic team on a project basis. As a CG Artist, you will play a crucial role in the creation, modification, and enhancement of various assets for our projects. Your primary focus will involve working with 3D assets, texture creation/editing, character rigging, animation using Blender, and preparing assets to be used in Unity Game Engine. Additionally, you will utilize AI services such as Midjourney, Leonardo, and Stable Diffusion to streamline workflows and optimize efficiency.

Your goal as a CG Artist is to consistently produce high-quality 3D and 2D assets, animations and textures while utilizing innovative tools and techniques to enhance workflow efficiency and contribute to the overall success of our great projects.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate closely with the project team remotely (the game designer and the game developer) to understand and fulfill specific artistic requirements and project goals.

  • Create and modify ready high-quality mobile 3D assets of characters, environment, props, ensuring they align with project specifications and artistic vision.

  • Develop and modify textures and apply them to 3D models, utilizing creativity and attention to detail to achieve desired visual outcomes.

  • Look for existing assets and kits on the market to speed up the development.

  • Edit and create simple animations on rigged characters and export them for Unity Game Engine.

  • Stay ahead of industry trends and advancements, incorporating new tools and techniques as needed to enhance project outcomes.

What kind of professional are we looking for?
  • 0.5-1.5 years of hands-on experience

  • Proficiency in Blender, Adobe Photoshop or similar software, with a solid understanding of their respective workflows and capabilities.

  • Previous experience in 3D asset creation, modification, texturing, rigging, and animation.

  • Familiarity with AI services such as Midjourney, Leonardo, and Stable Diffusion is an advantage.

  • Unity Game Engine knowledge is an advantage.

  • Portfolio showcasing previous project-based work in 3D and 2D art, including examples of 3d models, wireframes, UV layouts, animations and artworks.
