We are a Swiss-based dynamic and fast-growing scale-up company operating in the renewable energy sector. We are seeking a talented and experienced Senior Software QA Engineer to join our team to contribute to the development and deployment of our software solutions. As a Senior Software QA Engineer, you will play a critical role in improving the stability and quality of our current and new solutions.
Your Role:
- Implement a strategy of quality assurance and a test plan to optimize delivery of valuable product and provide the high level of quality
- Develop and maintain automated test scripts to ensure the quality of software applications
- Collaborate with developers and other stakeholders to understand business requirements and ensure the successful delivery of software applications
- Execute test cases and report defects using issue tracking tools such as Jira
- Participate in code reviews and provide feedback on testability and maintainability of software code
- Work with development team to identify and resolve software defects
- Participate in continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD) process to ensure the timely delivery of high-quality software products
- Continuously update test scripts and test cases to reflect changes in software applications and requirements
- Maintain technical documentation, including test plans, test cases, and release notes
- Provide support to development team members, and foster a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement
- Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and trends in software testing, and provide recommendations for new tools and techniques that can improve the testing process
Requirements:
- Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- At least 7 years of proven experience in a similar role.
- Experience with Python language.
- Strong understanding of test approaches, test analytics and test planning
- Experience in both manual and automated testing
- Attention to detail and the ability to troubleshoot and debug issues
- Familiarity with load testing and performance testing methodologies and tools
- Proven analytical skills in designing and implementing tests & test frameworks for functional and non-functional test activities.
- Experience in web testing, distributed systems, SOAP, relational and NoSQL DBs.
- Excellent knowledge of agile methodologies and working closely with engineers, advising on process improvement
- Experience working with GitLab CI/CD for continuous integration and continuous deployment.
- Experience working with Atlassian tools, such as Jira and Confluence.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, agile environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
