Creation of in-game effects from a sketch to final implementation
4+ years of experience with UE4 / UE5, at least 1 finished project
Strong understanding of Unreal material editor and Niagara
Ability to work with or without references and concepts to achieve the best result
Some Houdini experience or a willingness to learn
Working with Lead Artist and Visual Director to create complex game and cinematic effects
Optimization of VFX assets, according to technical requirements
Working knowledge of dynamics and simulations in Houdini or Embergen
Portfolio of realistic, high-quality real-time VFX work
Experience with Jira, Confluence
Will be a plus:
Knowledge of Houdini and understanding of its integration into UE5 for use in real-time effects will be a big plus
Ability to work with direction, accentuation, and flow of the game (useful experience in motion-design)
Ability to independently understand technical aspects following the example of already implemented tasks
Deep understanding of the technical part of game effects (atlases, batching, effects mechanics)
Deep knowledge of Unreal Engine
Knowledge of Houdini and understanding of its integration into UE5 for use in real-time effects
Ability to receive feedback
