About us: Steinpilz Bel - R&D office of the German company Steinpilz Gmbh, HTP member. The main customer is the German company Mercedes-Benz AG. The company is currently working on 10+ projects that are used in production at 80+ factories and dealerships. Within the company, processes are built on the basis of the Agile Scrum and Kanban methodologies. We use Jira, Confluence, Gitlab CI, MS Teams. Internal documentation, correspondence, meetings with the customer in English.

Requirements:

• 4+ years of Commercial Ruby on Rails experience;

• Some Team Lead Experience (we’d consider a senior with none at a lower rate);

• Excellent knowledge of HTML / CSS and Javascript;

• Excellent knowledge of SQL;

• Excellent understanding of Object Oriented Programming;

• Commercial experience of Agile Development;

• Comfortable with TDD/BDD practices, Rspec;

• Fluent English, both written and verbal;.

• Experience in building APIs using the latest standards;

• Web security knowledge;

• Experience with Docker and containerized workloads;

• Experience with AWS, Terraform, and Ansible;

• Substantial commercial experience building web applications;

• Competence in Ruby on Rails and strong skills in Ruby and Object Orientated design;

• Experience of testing a Rails application from low to high level;

• Experience of Git.

Responsibilities:

• First time will be part-time work

• Designing and implementing complex workflows, APIs, and UI backends;

• Performing TDD/BDD using various tools like RSpec;

• Develop new features for our flagship platform and maintain existing features. Most of this work will be back-end Ruby on Rails;

• Design and develop new architecture and review existing architecture as needed;

• Write high quality, secure, performant and well tested code.
