You’ll be working on a well-funded international team led by two highly technical co-founders. One is a Data Science professor who built the world-class Machine Learning team at Upstart and led it from the startup stage to the IPO. The other is a cyber-security engineer turned ex-Tinkoff product manager and serial entrepreneur.

We work remotely from the US, Canada, Puerto Rico, and Argentina. We speak English and don’t mind accents because many of us are not native speakers.

Our vision is to build a fairer financial system where users have more power, security, privacy, and access to financial instruments. With Bitcoin, it became possible to eliminate banks and other centralized intermediaries that traditionally wield too much power over our lives.

As a first step to that vision, we are building the best lending platform for high-end Bitcoin art (Ordinals) where borrowers will be matched with lenders for collateralized loans. We launched the MVP on testnet and prepar for the mainnet MVP launch.

Scope:

• Improve backend (85% of work) for better security, code organization, test coverage, and new features
• Review PRs and mentor other backend developers (10% of work)
• Assist with planning, architectural decisions, and DevOps (5% of work).

Essential skills:

• Node.js

Optional

• Not required - would be nice to know (or be interested to learn) Rust or Go language as some new backend features might require Rust/Go implementation.

• From 15 hours/week, $4,000-$7,000/month for a 40-hour workweek
• You choose your own schedule, should have time reserved for weekly calls with the team
• During the MVP development phase, we pay on a per-hour basis.
• We expect you to contribute at least 15 hours per week.

If our MVP is successful in the next few months, we’ll extend full-time job offers to successful candidates. These offers will include stock options or similar equity in our company for future work, in addition to monthly compensation.
