We are looking for a Senior Backend Developer to join our international team and work on one of the major projects by Wargaming. The project is a multiplayer shooter inspired by historical events and conflicts of the mid-20th century.
The primary tech stack includes Python and C++ as an additional. Experience with Rust would be an advantage. In this role, you will focus on developing core and meta gameplay features, including systems that drive the game’s progression, player engagement, and key in-game mechanics. Your work will directly impact the overall gameplay experience, ensuring it is dynamic, scalable, and highly engaging for players.

Develop core/meta features for game server using Actor based custom framework (Python).
Develop a client integrational layer (C++).
Design and estimate features.
Tuning of existing and creating new Helm charts for different application parts.
Work closely with cross-functional teams, including client developers.
Optimize code and infrastructure for high performance, reliability, and scalability.
5+ years of professional experience coding Python
2+ years of experience with C++
Gamedev experience (it is really important)
Languages: English B2, Russian B2
Familiarity with PostgresSQL (Project uses CitusDB)
Experience in designing and building large-scale and high-performance systems
Understanding asynchronous programming (Asyncio)
Understanding of data structures and algorithms
Experience with AWS stack
Experience with K8s
Familiarity with Protobuf
Familiarity with Rust (Optional)
