Farcana, a gaming startup based in the UAE, is looking for a talented Senior 3D Character Artist to join our dynamic team. We are developing a multiplayer online team-based shooter game powered by blockchain technology and aim to create successful games.
Creating 3D-characters through the full pipeline according to the technical and style standards of the project: sculpting (hard-surface armor, organic), low-poly/unwrapping/baking, and possibly training in Hand-Paint texturing in the future.
Communication within the team, attending team calls, and discussing work processes.
Experience in ZBrush, Maya, Marmoset Toolbag, Substance Painter.
At least 4 years experience in 3D modelling.
Experience with stylization: clean sculpting skills, solid knowledge of anatomy and understanding of character design within the technical stage for further animation.
Modeling for crease. Clean, without wobbling/pinching/non-planar polygons. Can be done in any software (Maya, Blender), but preferred in ZBrush (quad-based low-poly mesh without N-gons).
Sculpting. Folds, hair, face. IMPORTANT: Folds are manually sculpted in ZBrush, NO simulation in Marvelous Designer.
Basic understanding of working in UE5 and/or willingness to quickly learn the basics of functionality.
High artistic vision and ability to convey line dynamics in sculpting.
Readiness for an iterative development approach.
Russian language is a must, English will be a plus.
Would be a plus:
Artistic education.
Hand-Paint texturing skills.
