Senior/Middle Technical/VFX Artist Full-time

For which tasks (responsibilities)?
  • Creating high-quality water and weather effects, assisting other team members in the creation of related systems

  • Creating and optimizing shaders, materials, decals, and foliage

  • Creating and improving Niagara-based visual effects

  • Working with lightning optimization

  • Identify pipeline, workflow & build problems, solve them, or work with teams to mitigate the impact on the final product

  • Advising art on how to further optimize assets and other content to fit within the technical limitations

  • Collaborating with Art, Engineering, and Design teams to create a high-quality game experience

  • Help define new art workflows and identify industry trends/best practices

  • Be the point of contact between team members to drive cross-department collaboration

What kind of professional are we looking for?
  • At least 3 years of experience as a Technical Artist or related art role

  • A strong portfolio of work that demonstrates the ability to create high-quality works suitable for games

  • Solid knowledge of Unreal Engine is essential including knowledge of blueprints, Niagara, and performance profiling tools

  • Working experience with water and weather effects in Unreal Engine

  • In-depth knowledge of modern lighting models, and how they affect shader/material creation

  • Good knowledge of node-based shader editors and/or HLSL experience

  • Verbal English - upper-intermediate and higher
