Cogniteq is looking for a DevOps Engineer to join the team.

We are looking for a person with developed communication skills, who can provide feedback at all stages of product creation, effectively solve complex technical problems and participate in collaborative planning and strategic thinking.

As a DevOps Engineer, you will be responsible for managing and improving our infrastructure and deployment processes, developing automation tools, and collaborating with development and operations teams to ensure high availability and reliability of our systems.Our ideal candidate would possess a broad technical knowledge and practical experience, but we also value their intellectual capacity, problem solving skills and ability to make meaningful connections.

Responsibilities

• Set up and monitor dev, demo, and production environments;
• Design, manage, and maintain tools for automating operational processes and investigating backend-related issues;
• Optimize applications and databases;
• Administer and customize GNU/Linux family operating systems;
• Configure and monitor DBMS: SQL (MySQL/PostgreSQL) and no-SQL (MongoDB);
• Configure CI/CD in GitLab and Bitbucket;
• Scale and optimize cloud services;
• Write Dockerfile instructions;
• Work closely with developers to implement continuous delivery systems and methodologies on AWS;
• Configure and manage web servers (Nginx and Nginx-Unit);
• Write Bash and Terraform scripts;

Requirements

• Have at least 2 years of experience as a DevOps Engineer;
• 2+ year of provisioning, operating and managing AWS environments;
• Familiarity with Docker (2+ years) and Terraform (1+ year);
• Proven experience working with both SQL and NoSQL databases;
• Strong knowledge of monitoring systems, as well as error detection and resolution methods;
• Familiarity with interacting with AWS APIs;
• Clear written and verbal communication skills;
• Ability to manage your own time and work well both independently and as part of a team;
• English proficiency of at least B1 level.

Will be a plus:

• Proficiency in TCP/IP networking;
• Understanding of the principles of building highly distributed and loaded systems;
• Experience working with Kubernetes
